Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: May 6, 2026
ParcelScope sits on top of public records. That doesn't mean anything goes. Below are the things we will not allow on the platform. Violations result in suspension or termination, sometimes without notice.
Hard prohibitions
- Harassment / stalking. Don't use ParcelScope to find, contact, or surveil specific individuals against their will.
- FCRA-regulated decisions. Skip-trace and other contact data must not be used for employment, credit, insurance, tenant screening, or eligibility decisions covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- TCPA violations. Don't auto-dial cell phones or send mass unsolicited SMS using contact information from skip-trace.
- Doxing or aggregation services. Don't republish ParcelScope data on a public-facing "people search" site.
- Resale of bulk data. Without an enterprise agreement, you may not resell or sublicense ParcelScope data feeds.
- Scraping or rate-limit evasion. Use the API. Don't bypass quotas with multiple free accounts or distributed requests.
- Illegal activity. Real estate fraud, mortgage fraud, identity theft, or any other unlawful use is grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to authorities.
Direct mail rules
- Mailings must comply with applicable real-estate solicitation laws in the recipient's jurisdiction.
- Include a return address. We require a verifiable sender on every campaign.
- Honor opt-out requests. ParcelScope tracks "do not mail" flags per parcel; respect them.
API rules
- Don't share API keys.
- Don't exceed your tier's monthly call cap; bursts are fine but sustained overage triggers throttling.
- Cache responses where reasonable. Hammering us for the same parcel a thousand times a day is not.
Reporting abuse
If someone is misusing ParcelScope or harming you with data sourced from it, email abuse@parcelscope.app. We investigate and act.
